HOW TO SEND NEWS ITEMS
Listed below are some guidelines to follow
when sending news items to the Intercom.
Providing us with all the information requested
will ensure accuracy in reporting your story.
It is important that we have the name of the
person submitting the news item, along with
that person's title, place of work and, most im-
portantly, telephone number.
If a news item you send the Intercom is
hand-written, please print the names of people
and places to help avoid errors. Each person's
name in the story must be accompanied by a
title and place of work.
Please check your photographs before
sending them to make sure they are not too
dark, too light or out of focus. Although black
and white photos are preferred, the Intercom
can get a fairly good reproduction of a color
snapshot provided it is not too dark or red in
tone. Do not cut up the pictures or mark on the
front of them in any way.
When photographs accompany a news
item, they should be properly identified on the
reverse side, with the names of all people
printed legibly in a left to right order. Do not use
too much pressure in writing information on
the back of a print in order to avoid damage to
the image side.
