{ 1Montgomery, Ala. educators introduced to TRS-80sIn what proved to be a model of
cooperative efforts, RSCC 7313,
Store 8723, both of Montgomery,
Ala., and the Atlanta Regional Ed-
ucation Division teamed up to con-
duct three days of extensive
workshops for many of the Mont-
gomery County School System's
administrators, supervisors and
teachers. Altogether about 400 ed-
ucators, including almost every
principal in the area, participated
in the six workshops.
Participants saw how TRS-80s
could help them do a better job in
every aspect of their profession,
from simple record-keeping to
computer-assisted instruction. A
Network 3 system was used to in-
troduce the instructional and eco-
nomic advantages of such a
system and opportunities for using,MicroPILOT and Author I to de-
velop Network 3-able lessons to
match local curriculum were de-

presentation participants were di-

The Atlanta Region management builds sales on the same sound principles that guaran-
teed the success of Radio Shack's first "Realist" audio equipment. Regional Manager
John Parker reminds his DMs and RCMM that attention to basics is just as vital today as it
was in 1954 when the original $39.95 Realist FM Tuner was introduced. To help reinforce
this idea, Parker has set up a working display of the FM tuner, Realistic amplifier, Solo-1
speaker, and a record changer in the regional office. By reminding us how far we have
come, the display challenges the region to go even further. Pictured are (back row, left to
