Atlanta Region
(continued from previous page)Leahy promotes 13 in District 0549
The unique advantage these pro-
grams offer to educators is the
ability to write computer-assisted
instruction without requiring that a
formal programming language be
learned, which created quite an
impression.
The fifth station provided the op-
portunity to show the TRS-80 as a
research tool for educators. Vari-
ous data bases were accessed and
topics selected by participants
were researched in the encyclope-
dia. The sixth station was the origi-
nal Network 3 system, where
participants worked indepen-
dently at student stations. They
were able to select instructional
programs of special interest to
them and work with these pro-
grams as if they were a student.
At the end of this station rota-
tion, participants reassembled for
a final question-and-answer ses-
sion which concluded with a re-
minder that they had just seen and
experienced what Radio Shack
means by its "commitment to
education."Will Swearingen (left), manager, RSCC
