Expanded computer departments new rage in 0349Graumann
Biba
District 0349 Manager Alan
Bush's innovative management
and quality personnel have intro-
duced a new look to several of the
district's stores.
Store 2460-Bel Air, Md. recently
acquired an "expanded computer
department" as part of an overall
transformation which resulted in a
major Radio Shack store, thor-
oughly merchandised with all
Radio Shack product lines includ-ing computers, telephones and
home security. Kathy Graumann,
formerly a marketing representa-
tive at RSCC 7661-Baltimore, Md.,
has been promoted to manage the
CMR department. In naming
Graumann, Bush commented that
"Kathy has always shown that she
has the ability to get the job done.
She is a hard worker and I feel
quite confident of her continued
success with Radio Shack."
The new store is so impressive
that it may have saved the district
the task of relocating Store 2903-
Baltimore, Md.. The Rotunda
Shopping Center's office was re-
luctant to renew Radio Shack's
lease for the very old Store 2903,
until DM Bush put the leasing
agent into a car and showed himagent into a car and showed him
Graumann's expanded computer
department and promised similar
improvements. The lease was re-
newed the following day. Conse-
quently, Bush has named John
Biba to manage the new CMR de-
partment. Biba, who has been with
Radio Shack since July 1982, has
the support and confidence of DM
Bush, who says, "with John's
proven sales ability and the tre-
mendous traffic at The Rotunda,
we should have a very successful
'X' department."
Bush has similar plans for sev-
eral other stores in his district and
looks at his budget-breaking inno-
vations as an investment in future
success. Good luck and congratu-
lations to Bush and District 0349.: .

This is the "before" stage in the birth of DM 0349 Alan Bush's
innovative "expanded computer department" and major store im-
provement. Store 2460-Bel Air, Md., in the Harford Mall, was thor-
oughly merchandised with an extensive Radio Shack inventory and
embellished with a new CMR department, managed by Kathy
Graumann ...

... who is justly proud of the store's new appearance. The store
front in this project has a custom-made sign, requested by DM
Bush and modeled after a similar front on Radio Shack's Wall
Street store. Bush plans similar renovations for several more
stores in the district. Congratulations and good luck.
