Alisha Slough Route 3, Box 564 Rogersville, MO 65742 Dear Alisha: The North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts is pleased that you have agreed to be one of our presenters at the 1990 Summer Institute. You are scheduled to present from 10:45 to 11:45 on June 27th in the lecture hall (room 223) of the University of North Texas Art Building. We look forward to experiencing the topic "Art Games". I think you have already talked with Connie about the sequence of events during the day. The audience of between 50 and 60 people will have classroom teachers from kindergarten and first grades, art specialists, principals, museum educators and docents. Your presentation will be part of an intensive experience that includes aesthetics, criticism, art history and art production: the four components of Discipline Based Art Education (DBAE). A major goal of the Institute is to help participants transfer their new adult art experiences into child learning experiences in public school classrooms. The Institute will pay $350 plus travel expenses for your participation. At your earliest convenience, we would appreciate a brief outline of your presentation, and/or any handouts to be included in our Institute Notebook and a vita/resume. Thank you for being part of our Institute. If you have any questions please call the Institute Office at (817)565-3954. Sincerely, William McCarter Regents Professor Co-director, North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts
