TEXAS SOCIETY SONS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION MCKINNEY CHAPTER # 63 MCKINNEY, TEXAS April 30, 2009 Board Meeting Minutes A meeting of the McKinney Chapter of the Texas SAR Board was conducted on April 30, 2009 at 7:00 P. M. at the home of Don Babbs. The meeting was called to order by President Don Babbs. The following board members were present: President Don Babbs, Secretary-Treasurer Billy Thompson, Chaplain Don Sielert & Webmaster Cecil Coale. The following items were discussed. " A discussion was conducted on a person to replace Willie Walker at Chapter Registrar/Historian. There were two names mentioned. President Babbs will contact these two members to see if they will serve the chapter as Registrar/Historian. President Babbs will get back with the board members concerning these two names. " The next item discussed was the May 16, 2009 flag retirement program. President Babbs passed out a program that he had put together for this special program. The board members discussed the items of refreshment that will be served after the program. President Babbs is going to contact the Regent of both the McKinney & Allen DAR Chapter concerning items that they can bring. " An item concerning the anniversary pins that are available to be given to members with 5-10-15 years of service within the chapter. The Secretary was instructed to put together a list of years that each member has earned and a decision will be made concerning purchasing these pins.
