President Nixon's Personal lawyer....Herbert Kalmbach will continue
his testimony when the Senate Watergate Committee continues it's
televised hearings at 10:00 AM EDT this morning. Kalmbach testified
yesterday, that he raised funds to support legal fees for Watergate
defendnats an the quthorization of Former Presidential Aide John
Erlichman. Kalmbach said he didn't condider it illegal or improper
at the time.
The Committee also heard testimony from Former Presidential Assistant
Alexander Butterfield. Butterfield revealed bugging devices
in President Nixon's offices, and telephones, and said they were
authorized by the President. The White House has promised to
furnish a detailed statemen t concerning the use of the devices.
