FAIR IADY FASHIONS SHOWN IN FORT WORTH
AUDIENCE .
Fort Worth's style-conscious ladies gather at the
Woman's Club to take a peek at some of the things
grandmaw used to wear. And, as grandpaw
probably predicted, the fashion ideas of the
90's are on their way back. It's not that the
experts have run out of new ideas to soak dad's
bank account; they'll never do that. As WBAP's
Margaret McDonald explains it, the Broadway Show
"My Fair Lady" has given designers some new
inspiration, or rather the Gay 90'* costumes have.
For instance, this sheer wool suit not only has
a paneled back, it features a leather belt and
some old-fashioned dressmaker detail on the front
—the Fair Lady look, they call it.
(WFC)...The show, sponsored by Meacham's, also
features this black wool suit with some insets
that give it an Empire — or high-waisted —
look.
