$60,000 IN JEWELS MISSING FROM VAULT

worth of jewels from the Statler-Hilton hotel in
Dallas puts 39 police officers working what one
officer says is the largest theft case in recent
Dallas history. The jewelry, in a salesman's sample
case, reportedly disappeared from a vault in the
hotel.  The salesman, Harold Maxwell Rosenthaul of

Long Island, New York, says h9 piiied the case in 7'
the vault"Wednesday night, that it was missing when
he  laim a the case this morning.    The sample case
reportedly contained 60-thousand dollars worth of
diamond rings, watches and bracelets. The vault,
much like a bank safety deposit box, requires two
keys to open it, one key kept by the hotel, one
by the person            the vault. The big question
now: how was the vault opened and who opened it'
