NEWS BRIEFS (21
A dog's best friend is a man, as dog owners in 23 Dallas
County communities visit inoculation stations to get their
canine companions inoculated against rabies...most feared of
dogdom's diseases.
There's quite a bit of excitement as more than fifty dog owners
and their nets report to one of the county's busiest
inoculation stations, the one at Richardson, twelve miles
north of Dallas. Thirty-eight'showed up in the first 45
minutes of serum shooting, were registered by Mrs. J.N. Holt,
and went throUgh the assembly-line inoculation by Veterinarian
Dr. J.I Holt.
Asked if his pet would bite anyone, one dog owner replied...
"He not only doesn't ever bite people; he doesn't even bite
won't
other dogs." Come on, now, this w z t hurta--and apparently
it doesn't. The puns don't even flinch when Dr. Holt massages
the skin of their necks, and gives them two shots just underthe skin.
