Lake Worth firemen staged a carnival at the
school football stadium and preparations for the feature
event--- a fireworks display -- began early in the day....
Volunteer workers assisted Bill Englke, of the Lake Worth
Fireworks plant, set up the giant portrait of General
MacArthur in fireworks...
CLOSEUP OF FIRE WORKS GOING OFI
Then when the carnival was in full swing, the
spectacular display began with conventional fireworks....
Then "Hoppy" appeared to the delight of the
kids in the audience...
And with a chorus singing "Old Soldiers Never Die",
General MacArthur blazed forth to the cheers of the crowd....5,
