Bell Aircraft Corporation puts its best foot forward
to welcome a host of military dignitaries for the
unveiling of a new aircraft -- the XV-3
Convertiplane. At its Hurst plan, the corporation
registers more than 200 guests then takes them on
a conducted tour of the plant's giant q assembly
line. On the guest list are seven generals, an
admiral, an assistant secretary of the Army, c'
and dozens of Fort Uorth and Dallas civic leaders.LONG, PEOPLE SEATED
Assembled in a giant hanger, the guests watch as a
curtain is drawn to reveal the convertipiane. Bell
says the plane can take off " and land vertically
like a helicopter, then, once in the air, can fly
like a conventional airplane. Three-bladed rotors
are mounted in the plane's wing tips to provide
