At noon, County Fire Marshal Lankford calls
for full-scale evacuation of the area. The
R.chland Hills Mayor m declares a state
of or emergency. As the people leave their
homes, the Red Cross sets up a mobile canteen
and tonight the canteen is serving meals from
the kitchen of the Richland Hills Baptist
Church. The Red Cross also announces that it
will begin giving typhoid shots to the
residents of Richland Hills tomorrow afternoon
between 2 and 5 p.m. at the city junior high
school. The overflow of sewers in Richland
Hills creates S what officials term a healthAERIAL AGAIN
hazard.
2- Tonight, officials report the evacuation of
Richland Hills virtually complete and officials
say the water is' still rising.
