COUNTY COMMISSIONERS 1-1-1
Outside commissioners court in Fort Worth, several
architects wait with ideas and plans for remodeling
and adding on to the criminal courts building. The
commissioners hear first from architect C. J. Hark-
rider for his views on such a project. Sheriff Har-
lon Wright has complained that present jail facili-'
ties are inadequate, and commissioners have started
studying plans for enlarging the entire criminal
courts building. Harkrider is followed by another
architect----Birch D. Eaterwood, who brings drawings.
commissioners have generally expressed disapproval
of r'ort Worth City Manager Cookingham's idea for a.
joint city-county jail, but plan to meet with city
officials to talk of such a project. Arbhitect Wyatt
hedrick, who built the new courts building, also ap'-
pears before the group.
