Some 31+-hundred Chance Vought aircraft workers of
local 893, United Auto Workers, are making ready
to strike this evening, according to local president
Roy Evans. Only the time remains in doubt. The
basic issue, explains Evans, is two-fold: full and
compulsory arbitration and automatic progression
within the labor grade. He says the union is trying
to get the contract up to par with other companies
