FATAL ACCIDENT
A 17-year old marine from the Fort Worth suburb
of Menbrook lost his life today when he was crushed
beneath the wheels of a huge gravel truck. She
emergency
victims, Paul David Irvin, was home on/leave from
Camp Pendleton, Ualifornia, to attend the funeral
of his father who was buried last Saturday.
Witnesses say the young marine was driving a
motoroyclg, heading north on $enbrook Highway.
The gravel truck was heading south. The truck
was crossing the northbound lane so the driver
could park in front of @ a cafe when the
accident occurred. Witnesses say the big gravel
truck was crossing the northbound lane slowly
when the cyclist apparently saw the truck and triedto stop.
The young marine could not stop in time
and he was grounded beneath the wheels of the truck.
