Eugene Sepulveda is Senior Vice President at New First City Bank in Austin. He
is currently chair of the Austin-Travis County HIV Commission and serves on the Austin
Minority Purchasing Council Advisory Board. He is a member of the Austin International
Business Council of the Austin Chamber of Commerce as well as the Hispanic Chamber of
Commerce and has served on the San Antonio-Austin Dinner Committee for the Human
Rights Campaign Fund.
Michael Robert of Port Aransas, is owner and manager of the Seahorse Inn. A
graduate of Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, he has worked as a teacher
in Los Angeles and has resided in London.
As well as the additions, the fall board meeting saw the loss ofithree very valuable
THRF trustees. Virginia Raymond, Bruce Monroe, and Dick Peeples all decided not to
seek reelection. Peeples, who will receive THRF's lifetime achievement award at the
annual Robert Schwab Memorial Awards to be held in Dallas in February, will be
especially missed. He served on the board for fourteen years, acting both as president
(twice) and as treasurer (1980-1989.)
The Texas Human Rights Foundation is a state wide non-profit organization which
works to eliminate discrimination against gay men, lesbians, and those living with HIV.
