LOOKING AT MANTEL
Mrs. Wise boasts Indian earrings and leather punches
among the collection of axe heads on the mantel.HOLDING SMALL DOLL
here is one possession more
highly valued than the rest. For Mrs. Wise, it is
a tiny doll, apparently antique, which she found

underground at an Indian camp site on the Riv-er in Southwest Texas.
She says the bisque doll is
apparently of a German band player with his horn.

She wonders it the doll was used for trading or if
it was taken during a raid. At any rate, she prizesit above her other relics.
