The eye-catcher in Arlington was -- and still is, if the
sun hasn't demolished it -- a& fine work of snow art
by Joe Horner, who makes a snow woman instead of asnow-man in his yard at 17-29 Ida.
AFTER WOMAN
The sculptured,
life-size figure is of Horner's wife, Nikki.
Joe spends his money-making hours as an artist andgn auditor.
He has done only a minimum of work as a
sculptor, but when the heaviest snowfall in years
came to the Horner's front yard, he picked up a table-
sppon and wood chisel and began the delicate formation.
The moderating weather . the snow & the ideal
consistency for sculpturing but, Joe says, it means he
has to work all the faster, just to keep ahead of thestandard melting process.
Joe says, if he say
so himself, the likeness israther good.
The work is out out for Horner's two daughters, five
year old Elaine and eight year old Michelle, who scoutKIDS
