Fort Worth Jaycees and Carswell Air Force Base officers take time out from a mercy mission to pose for pictures at the Service Life Insurance warehouse in the block

The mercy mission is an Airlift to
Korea, the brain child of Air force Captain Jack Heald junior. Captain Heald, a veternarian for the Air Force spent a 13-month tour of >uty at Kunsan, Korea/ recently and was moved by the plight of the Korean war refugees. Assigned to Carswell, Heald talked up the privations of the displaced Koreans, and before long, a mercy mission was organized. LS THREE MEN AFTER PHOTOG Heald and the Carswell personnel have organized a drive to collect af-thousand pounds of food-stuffs, clothes, farm implements, and seed, and fly the goods to Kunaan. The Jaycees stepped in, along with the Citizen's Band Radio Club, and the Civil Air Patrol unit at Carswell.
