TIPPIT CAKE 1-1-1-1-1-1
The address is simple: Mrs. Tippit, Dallas,
U-S-A. And it arrives right on schedule, a large
box shipped all the way from West Germany for the
widow of a Dallas policeman slain trying to arrest
President Kennedy's assassin. The box contains a
large gingerbread cake in the shape of a cottage.
The cake house measured 11-by-14 inches and stands
12 inches high. It comes wrapped in cellophane andis
decorated with pieces of candy.
SMALL WRAPPED PACKAGE
Also in the box is a smaller package which
apparently contains a head scarf or a handkerchief.
Customs agents say the smaller package need not
be opened. The gifts apparently are a gesture
designed to help cheer the bereaved Tippit family.
The box was shipped by air from West Germany
yesterday. The sender does not enclose his name,
but a waybill bears the name of Alfred Kay.
