28 year old Lee V. Barnes, in white shirt at far

left, is the defendent in a peace bond hearing in
Irving Peace Justice Russell's court.    The hearing
is an outgrowth of Yesterday's incident w-in an
Banker, Tom Pearce, was shot and wounded by

Barnes wife at the busy suburban bank.

Pearce, who is asking

peace bond, was slightly wounded in the hip during
the affray. Pearce says that the bank recently
repossessed the Barnes auto, and deducted 41 cbllars
ftom the couple's checking account to refurbish the
for resale. Such practises, he says, are normal
in banking, but it angered Barnes, and he threatened
to get even with Pearce for it.
DEPENDENT ON STAND AFTER JUDGE

Barnes takes the stand to say he did not mean to

threaten Pearce.
