floor of a two-story frame apartment house in
North Dallas and early arriving fire units radio

SMOKE AFTER CRO'D
The second alarm is sounded two minutes after
firemen were notified of the blaze at 9:45 this
morning. A family of ten was asleep in an upstairs
apartment at 41041 Travis when a downstairs
resident discovered smoke seeping through the wall.
MED. FIREIvT AND MAN
Jesse Serna, who lives downstairs with his wife and
three children, says Ms.Serna opened a closet
and spotted the smoke. Serna called firemen while
his * wife ran upstaim anr aroused the u~i
sleeping family.
