+
This past weekend, Stonewall Democrats of Dallas was awarded the No. 2 Slot at the
25th Annual Alan Ross Freedom Parade, which takes place Sunday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m.
More than 30,000 people are expected. Special thanks to Stonewall Democrats of Collin
County and Stonewall Democrats of Denton County who have confirmed their
participation. We need marchers for our Freedom Brigade: a rainblow flag of red, blue,
yellow, orange, purple and green umbrellas marching down Cedar Springs Rd. Stonewall
will provide the umbrellas and you provide the spirit. To participate, email Special Events
Coordinator Jeff Falin at jeff.falin@stonewalldemocratsofdallas.org today. We also
need five people to help us pass out beads. We will also feature the Blue Majority
Cheerleaders!
Dallas Southern Pride Coming Soon!

part in a panel discussion that weekend.
SAVE THE DATE! Oct. 11 Fundraiser for Stonewall Democrats of Dallas
In the winter Stonewall spent several thousands of dollars to protect our incumbent
Democrats in the primary and secure LGBT-friendly Democratic wins up and down the
ballot. In the spring we raised several thousands of dollars to donate to our local house,
senate and sheriff races. This summer Stonewall members donated dollars to our Dallas
County Democratic Party to help with its coordinated campaign. We've registered nearly
500 voters in Oak Lawn since January and promoted party unity by providing volunteers
at every major DCDP event.
Stonewall has been good to the community. Now Stonewall needs your generosity.
The Annual Stonewall Heroes Fundraiser, when we honor our friends in office and raise
money for our organization, takes place on National Coming Out Day: Saturday, Oct. 11,
from 2 to 5 p.m., at Sue Ellen's, located at 3014 Throckmorton St., Dallas, TX 75219.
Sponsorship levels are: Platinum $1,000, Gold $500, Silver $250 and Bronze $125.
