BANK ROBBERY
SOF COMINGA western-style bandit, wearing yellow pants and a
cowboy hat,
took about nine
thousand dollars this after
MEN SEATED
noon from the First State Bank at Rice, ten miles
of Corsicana, in Navarro County. The bank's cashier,
S.B. South, says he and his wife, an assistant cashier,
were alonf in the bank, at the time of the robbery.
South says the bandit told him he had about two thou-
sand dollars, and needed a safe place to keep it. The
hijacker asked to see the vault, and after the vault
was opened, he pulled a pistol. Mrs. South says the
gunmen took the money from the safe, then filled his
bag with money from the cashier cages. The bandit

Mrs. South says the bandit tol and her husband
