safety in a closet. Three firemen, R. N. Milisap,
B. G. Walden, and R. L. Kirkpatrick were overcome
by smoke as they searched for the youngsters. The
firemen were treated at the scene, and recovered.
The children were beyond saving.

identified as 3-yearmold Audrey Rochelle Broadnax
and her half-brother, one-year-old Anthony Raychildren of Mr. and Mrs.
Brightman,Daniel Brightman,
and 2 year old Sheila Rene Brightman, daughter of

Three children, ranging in ages from one tb
three, in a fire around 9:30 this morning that
swept through their grandmother's home in West Dallas.
The grandmother, Mrs. Broadnax was at a
neighbors' when the blaze began. Firemen found the
three youngsters in the rear of the blazing house.M
