To the Peak of Perfection —
to serve the Southwest —
and the Nation — Well
During the past year the Katy's performance has
contributed much to the record achievement of the
Nation s Railroads in handling war-time traffic.
This was possible because the Katy, anticipating
increased traffic, invested millions of dollars in
equipment and property to meet rapidly advancing
demand«j^This rehabilitation program will be con-
tinued ,.™expanded to maintain Katy service at the
peak of perfection.

The amazing growth and development of Katy-served

the Southwest is "headed for an area of post-war
growth and expansion beyond our comprehension".
When that time comes the Katy more than ever will be
ready to serve the Southwest—and the Nation—well.
