Dale Huddleston announced their engagement this week.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Evelyn Petshe and
Robert L. Brown of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and the
prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam L.
Huddleston of Ingleside. Miss Brown is a graduate
of Stranahan High School and her fiance, serving with
the U. S. Army, is attending non-commissioned offi-
cers candidate school at Fort Benning, Ga. The wed-
ding date has not been set

was named District Deputy of
District 5, Section 9 at the
Grand Chapter Session of the
Order of the Eastern Star held
week in Austin. —
Mrs. Alloway, a past matron
of Aransas Pass ChapterNo.
162, is also a past mother
advisor of the Order of Rain-
bow For Girls, and is serving
as an officer in the local chapter
of the Daughter of the Nile.
Aransas Pass Chapter re-
ceived five grand appointments.
They are Mrs. Bill Johnson,
chairman of Star Visitation, for
District 5, Section 9; Bill John-
son, Masonic Ambassador
Committee; Albert Lieske,
Founder’s Day and Mrs. Judith
Oliver of San Antonio, Library
Research.

bassador, and Mrs. Jack Stil-
well, Founder’s Day.

Bradshaw Family
Has Reunion
Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Brad-
shaw and their five children had
a family reunion here during the
weekend. It was the first time
for the family to be together
in thirty years.
Seventeen family members we-
re present for the reunion and
dinner. The group gathered at
the Bradshaw home at 911 S.
Rife and then had their dinner
at the Church of Christ Fellow-
ship Hall.
Attending were the parents,
and their children, Mr. and Mrs.
O. C. Brummettand Mr. and Mrs.
D. Mirkovic of this city; Mr. and
Mrs. A. C. Bradshaw of Tulsa,
Oklahoma, Mr. and Mrs. C. R.
Bradshaw of Summerland Key,
Florida, Mrs. and Mrs. K. A.
Bradshaw of Houston. Also att-
ending were four grandchildren
and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. N. D. Sanford recently
attended a home coming at Lee-
sville, La. and visited friends
and relatives there.

Four Couples
Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Witt,
1406 Palm Drive, were hosts
for an anniversary party Satu-
rday night in their home. They
were celebrating their 37th
wedding anniversary and honor-
ed three other couples on the
occasion. Other couples honor-
ed were Mr. and Mrs. Cecil
MiUer, Mr. and Mrs. J. T.
Stellman and Mr. and Mrs.
W. T. Hilliard. All had cele-
brated anniversaries during the
week.
Approximately one - hundred
and twenty guests enjoyed the
hospitality. A Halloween theme
was used for decorating. Two
spacious tables were spread
with hors d’oeuvres, sliced
meats, chips, and dips.
Out-of-town guest here for
the occasion were Mr. and Mrs.
A. A. Ericson of San Antonio,
Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Luigi
of Alice, Mr. and Mrs. W. W.
Crist of New Braunfels, Mr. and
Mrs. Don Metz of Lockhart,
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nicholas of
Sinton, Mr. and Mrs. John Cul-
pepper of Houston, Mr. and Mrs.
Freddie Soward, Mr. and Mrs.
Carlo Mircovich, Mr. and Mrs.
W. J. Mott and Mr. and Mrs.

Mrs. Mary Lindquist, Mrs.
Daniel Jones and Mrs. Hale.
The serving table was laid
with a white linen cloth and
centered with an arrangement
of blue carnations accented with
wedding bells.
Crystal and silver appoint-
ments were used for serving
cake, coffee, champagne punch,
nuts and mints.
The honoree received a love-
ly array of gifts.
Miss Cowart and Mr. Black-
well will be married Nov. 6.
Attend Funeral
Funeral services were held
today in Marlow, Oklahoma for
the father of Ralph Gayle, Aran-
sas Pass High School journal-
ism and English teacher. Mr.
Gayle left Monday for Oklahoma
immediately upon learning of his
father’s death.

Miss Debra Jean White and
James Ronald Walker were mar-
ried October 2 in the First Ass-
embly of God Church, hexe..
The bride is the daughter of
the Rev. and Mrs. Robert White
of this city and the groom is the
son of the Rev. and Mrs. J. R.
Walker of Benton, Arkansas.
Both fathers participated In
performing the ceremony. Double
ring vows were pledged. Mrs.
Ralph Crleder was organist and
Mickey and Pat Wright were
soioists.
Baskets of white gladioli and
white spider mums formed the
setting with lighted tapers in
branched candelabra completing
the setting.
Given In marriage by her
father, the bride wore a gown of
white satin and Chantilly lace
styled with an empire bodice,
long sleeves with cuffs and collar
trimmed with lace.
Her veil of illusion was a man-
tilla with lace border and she
carried a bouquet of white roses
centered with a white orchid.
Miss Mary White was her sis-
ter’s maid of honor. She wore a
floor length dress of purple with
an empire waistline accented with
lavender ribbon. Miss Joyce Lane
and Miss Laura Vokert were
