Lorraine Hall, both of San An-
tonio, Mrs. Audrey Stover anil
Mrs. Lois Walley, both of Miss-
ion, foui brothers, Matthew Byrd,
Santa Rosa; Myrl Byrd, Jour-
danton; William Byrd, Fort Wortl
Homer Byrd, Mansfield; twe
grandchildren.
She was a member of the First
Baptist Church.
Interment was in Laurel Hll
Cemetery in Mission.
Marshall Funeral Home war
in charge of local arrangements.
Dr. Akin Moving -
To San Antonio
Dr. Gene C. Akin, of Ingle-
side, who has been associated
with Lyman-Roberts Hospital,
will be leaving soon for San
Antonio, he announced this
week.
Dr. Akin said, in his new posi-
tion, he will be doingemergen-
cy room work entlrely^ndwlU
also be in the area of instruc-
tion of younger physicians in the
emergency room techniques as
they are developed through
practice. ‘ It represents what
I have wanted to do in medicine
for a long time,’ he stated.
‘T am leaving a community
that has become very dear to
my heart and in which I will
continue to take an Interest,”
he concluded.

tis R. Chartier, Jr., 57, Aransas
Pass.
Chartier, a retired Army man,
was a native of Portland, Ore-
gon. He had resided here foi the
past five years, lie died at lu,s
home Oct. 20.
’Surviving are his wife, Alicia
Rea of Aransas Pass, and his
father Curtis R. Chartier of
Grapevine, Texas.
Interment was in Prairie View
Cemetery.
