the Gilbert house. So pretty! I had
my house painted white. It’s very
noticable and people can see it too!
Other improvements are being
made in town also. Soon we will
have main street "fixed up."

Homecoming weekend is gone.
Not as many came home it seemed to
me but good to see those who did get
here. Saw a few that had been gone
a long time: Berry Sullivan, Charles
"Doc" Sullivan, Ida Nell O'Dell and
Adrian & Modelle Ellis had fam-
ily home for the weekend.

The Class of 1950 had a reunion at
the Woodson Homeconing this past
weekend. They were all here except
the two memebers who had passed
away. They asked Jo Emma Dickie
to meet with them, since she taught
all the boys and girls Homemaking
and was the ball coach for the girls.
Berry Sullivan took charge of the
meeting which went well with lots of
memory recalling. The class decided
to give $350.00 to the Ex-Student
Scholarship Fund. They were all in
favor of that. They also decided to
send Truett (Pee Wee) Holland flow-
ers with a black and gold bow. Pee
Wee is in the Sears Retirement Home
in Abilene.
He had surgery and is still having
trouble. He was the Senior sponsor
for this class. They all agreed the
meeting was a big success. They plan
to compile a book of the activities of
high school years. One for each
member of the class.

The class of 1936 of Throckmor-
ton High School was third in atten-
dance at the Homecoming meeting in
Iheauditorium. Of this we were proud.
The gathering following the busi-
ness at the school was held in the
Depot/Library. This place must be
the most beautiful place in town! It is
very spacious and well kept. Books
were catalogued as they should be
and the pictures on the walls were
very interesting to any visitor. Com-
fortable chairs and tables for any use
were available. This Library is a
place that the citizens of the City of
Throckmorton can be rightfully
proud.
Thanks for letting us have our get-
together in such a memorable place.
