Viola R. TVevino
Viola R. Trevino, 65 years old
died Saturday, July 31, in a Corpus
Christi hospital after a short illness.
She was born in La Rosita
Community, and was a member of
St. Francis De Paula Catholic
Church and the Catholic Daughters
of America.
She is survived by her husband,
Daniel L. Trevino of San Diego;
one son, Rolando Trevino of
Illinois; seven Daughters, Una
Oaks of San Diego, Armandina
Prayer of Indiana, Sylvia Garza of
San Diego, Esperanza Rocha of
Illinois, Violita Escobar of
McAllen, Felipa Gomez of Donna,
and Linda Trevino of San Diego; a
brother, Avelino Rangel of Alice;
a housewife all of her life.
She was preceded in death by
her husband Pedro Canas Sr. and a
son, Ricardo Canas.
Survivors include two sons,
Pedro Canas Jr. from Victoria and
Dagoberto Gonzalez of San Diego;
three daughters, Maria Elena Pena
of Alice, San Juana Boehl of San
Diego, and Minga Gonzalez of
Alice; 12 grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren.
Rosary was recited on Sunday,
August 1, at Mauro P. Garcia
Funeral Home of San Diego.
Funeral mass was celebrated at on
August 2, at St Francis de Paula
Catholic Church and burial
followed at the San Diego
Cemetery.
