This week's query is from Allen

bom in 1888. Their grandfather,
Jerry M. Stout, was bom in 1831 in

With the start of school in our area
this week, take time to send your little
"munchkids" back to school with
some great-tasting cookies and treats
for their lunch boxes... .not forget-
ting to save some for yourself!
These recipes are quick and simple
and uses a bake of Pioneer Butter-
milk Biscuit and Baking Mix. These
recipes were developed with busy
moms.... and dads too, in mind! The
first two recipes can be mixed up
ahead of time and baked at your con-
venience. But, no matter when you
bake them, they will stay fresh and
delicious for days because of the
honey and mix used in the recipe.
Coconut-Almond Chocolate
Chipper - is similar to the Almond
Joy candy bar because the recipe
combines chocolate, coconut and al-
monds. This recipe packs well in
lunches and stays fresh and chewy.
Rich & Chewy Honey-Peanut
Butter Cookies - a hit for any peanut
butter lover with the added honey
taste for rich and chewy flavor at its
best.
Fabulous Football Cookies -the
biscuit mix makes preparation time
short and these cookies will "core"
with everyone! These cookies can
also be stored in fridge to bake the
next day.
Shortbread Cookie Pizzas-
simple recipe to mix and toss into a
pizza pan to bake and top with vanilla
frosting and favorite sprinkles and
toppings. Food color can also be
used to have a variety of colors.
Hamburger Pizza -this has a
cheese-flavored biscuit-typecrust that
is faster and easier to make than the
yeast-dough variety. Top with your
favorite pizza "goodies" and chow
down!
"No Labor" Day Bars- this
"speed-scratch" recipe is too simple
with a combination of butterscotch
and pecans, but once you taste it,
wow, your friends will think you
spent all day in the kitchen!
