One of the pleasantest fictions of the tire business is that
a manufacturer can repaint with his pen what he has fail-
ed to accomplish in his factory.
Upon no less fallacious ground rests the virture of a de-
finite milage guarantee.
And die guaranty is fast coming to be seen for what it is
—a confusing and uqnccoesuy formality in the case of n
good tire. A disappointment and delusion in the case of
a bad one.
There is no definite milage guarantee behind Goodyear
Tires.
As for that, there is no definite guarantee behind a gold-
