Mrs. Ross's first graders became mother hens on Tuesday, April 13. Thanks to Judy Speir and Pat
Speir they were brought an incubator and twenty three fertile eggs. The vigil began. They turned the
eggs twice a day. Mrs. Ross came on week-ends. They began to watch and wait By May 2, the hatching
process was beginning. Peeps were heard and cracks were appearing in the eggs. By the next day 3
chicks were hatched and more were cracking their shells. What a wonderful experience! becoming
mother hens! Each child who brings a shoe box gets to take a chick home. Mrs. Ross is pictured with
her students. She is holding one of the chicks. Imagine her surprise when the chick had an accident
in her hand and on her pants. (Staff Photo by Judy Screws)

To whom it concerns
"ALL OF US"
I would like to express my deep-
est appreciation to the people
of our school dbtrict for once
more supporting the progress
and the future of our children
and the future children of thb
dbtrict, by re-electing Eddie
Brown & Mark Hare for the
school board.
As I can see by thb, our com-
munity and school dbtrict b in
support of our one campus site,
both elementaries and J r. highs
at Rivercrest Rivercrest Inde-
pendent School Dbtrict b "A
project to be proud of."
Now, hopefully, others will see
that wasting our tax dollars on
paying lawyers is wrong.
Enough is Enough-lets stop
throwing our money away.
Over $50,000 dollars has al-
ready been wasted!! That
money could have been used
for a better purpose.
I am not a writer of any kind,
and truly do not pretend to be.
With all the ballots cast and
tallied and the big gap between
the numbers, surely everyone
can see Rivercrest Independent
School District was truly meant
to be.
Thank you all very much.
