hand to tell the children about “Workers in the
Community,” the theme for this second series of
parties. One more series of parties will be given

Librarian Shows Film
To Woman’s Club
In a candlelight ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Saturday,
Terri Lynn Lamberth and Silvan James Dluhos were
united in marriage at St. John’s Catholic Church in
Taiton. Monsignor Julius Petru performed the
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ramona A. Pate and E.
R. "Boots” Lamberth, both of El Campo. The groom
is the son of Mary Ann Dluhos of El Campo and the
late Silvin Dluhos.
The church was decorated with red poinsettias.
Spiral and arch candelabra stood on either side of the
altar, and the aisle was lighted with candles.
Cynthia Goerig accompanied Cecil Davis as he
sang “Walk Hand in Hand,” “The Lord’s Prayer,”
“Wither Thou Goest” and “Panis Angelicus. ”
The bride wore her sister’s bridal gown, a formal
candlelight design which had a fitted bodice com-
pletely overlaid with Chantilly lace. The sweetheart
neckline featured a lace ruffle at the throat, and
tapered lace sleeves were finished with tiny lace ruf-
fles at the wrists. Her bouffant skirt fell from a
natural waistline and cascaded into many tiers of lace
to form a chapel length train.
She wore a Juliet cap of candlelight Chantilly lace
accented with wedding pearls. It held a fingertip veil
of English illusion edged with matching lace. She car-
ried a cascade bouquet of white bridal roses,
gardenias, leatherleaf fern, English ivy and baby’s
breath entwined with a Christ’s tears rosary from
Hawaii.
Nell Moran of El Campo served her sister as
matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sherry Lynn
Krpec, Anita Wigginton, Ginger Burger, Lu Matzke,
and Jennifer Dluhos, sister of the groom, all of El
Campo, and Mary Ann Petty of San Marcos.
The bridal attendants wore cranberry Quiana
gowns styled with A-line skirts and spaghetti straps
Chiffon overblouses with peplums were trimmed in
satm embroidery at the necklines and extended into
cap sleeves. They carried bouquets of cranberry-
throated lilies, baby’s breath, leatherleaf fern and
English ivy.
Sarah Jo Dluhos of El Campo was the flower girl.
Scott Mazoeh of Alvin was the ring bearer.
Gene Beery III of El Campo served as best man.
Groomsmen were Rodney Dluhos and Tommy
Dluhos, both brothers of the groom, Ray Albrecht,
Kirk Youngdale, Kenny Mrnustik and Chris Couey,
all of El Campo.
RECEPTION
Following the ceremony, a reception, dinner and
dance were held at the Taiton Community Center.
Members of the houseparty included Judy Sefcik,
Mary Jo Beery, Diane Dluhos, Angie Foltyn, Ramona
Svatek, Gayle Priesmeyer, Becky Johnson, Lea
Strnadel, Lynell Popp, Sue Dluhos, Rebecca Dluhos
and Amber Allardyce.
The four-tiered wedding cake was a poppy seed
flavor, lemon-filled confection frosted and decorated
with candlelight icing. Grecian columns separated
the second and third tiers, and white bridal roses,
greenery and baby’s breath were placed on each
layer. Leatherleaf fern and baby’s breath encircled
the bottom layer.
The groom’s German chocolate cake was frosted in
chocolate and decorated with dark chocolate roses. It
was topped with a crane and the inscription “Butch -
Helluvan Operator.”
Following a wedding trip to Keystone, Colo., the
couple will reside at 2801 N Mechanic.
The bride graduated in 1981 from El Campo High
School, where she was a member of the National
Honor Society. She is attending Wharton County
Junior College and will graduate in May. She is a
member of Phi Theta Kappa at WCJC and is current-
ly employed by Rugeley & Blasingame Cline, Assn.,
P.A. The groom is a 1974 graduate of El Campo High
School and is currently employed by Wenglar Con-
struction, Inc.
A rehearsal dinner was held at the Taiton Com-
munity Center.

Charles Swanson of El Campo were united in mar-
riage Saturday at 3:30 p.m at Trinity Lutheran
Church. The Rev. Winston Hold performed the
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Simon
Borak of Rosenberg The groom is the son of Wilburn
Swanson of El Campo and the late Della Swanson
The church altar was decorated with yellow and
white chrysanthemums and the railing in front of the
altar was decorated with greenery Lighted candles
accented with silk yellow and white daisies were plac-
ed in the windows An arrangement of yellow roses
adorned the piano,
Betty Merta accompanied herself as she sang
“Song for a Christian Wedding.” "Two Candles,"
“Wedding Song,” “The Lord's Prayer” and
“Wherever You Go ”
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a
candlelight gown accented with pearls and Chantilly
lace A single lace tier was gathered at the hemline in
front, and the back of the skirt had tiers of lace from
the waist down the full length of the tram
Her hat of candlelight Chantilly lace was held up at
one side with three ivory roses She wore a string of
pearls to complete her ensemble She carried a bou
quet of two dozen ivory roses and one dozen yellow
roses which trailed mid way down the skirl of her
gown.

as maid of honor Matron of honor was Carolyn Dill
