FLY KITES IN THE OPEN
Go to the Polls Saturday, March
17, and vote for the person whom
you think will give you the best
service as your flotorial represen-
tative.
If I am elected I promise to re-
main on the job, and will give you
the best service of which I am ca-
pable.
E. F. HARRELL
With the coming March winds,
youngsters are beginning to answer
the call of kite-flying season.
“In wartime, such as the present,
it is patriotic, as well as wise, for
kite-flyers to observe 'the rules of
safety,” said A G. McRae, district
manager of the Texas Power and
j Light .Company.
Chief among these is to fly kites
ir. open spaces where there are no
electric power lines. Kites which
fall across, or become entangled in
power lines, endanger the continui-
ty of electric service to industries
which may be engaged in produc-
tion of vital materials needed in
the war effort.
•Another precaution is to use no
kites which contain metal or string
with wire in it, since metal is a con-
ductor of electricity.
As a fourth precaution, it is urg-
ed that kite-flyers not attempt to
disentangle any kite that should
fall in an electric line, but call the
electric company, which will send
a trained man out to remove the
kite,

EVERYBODY
must have
VITAMINS
Of course everybody
gets SOME Vitamins.
Surveys show that mil-
lions of people do not
get ENOUGH.
A pleasant, convenient
economical way to be
sure that you and your
family do not lack essen-
tial B Complex Vitamin
is to take ONE-A-DAY brand
Vitamin B Complex tablets.
An insufficient supply of B
Complex Vitamins causes In-
digestion, Constipation, Nerv-
, ousness, Sleeplessness, Crank-
iness, Lack of Appetite. There are
other causes for these conditions, but
why not guard against this one cause
by taking a ONE-A-DAY brand
Vitamin B Complex Tablet everyday?

Cardui is a liquid medicine which
many women say has brought relief
from the cramp-iike agony and ner-
vous strain of functional periodic
distress. Here’s how it may help:
4 Taken like a tonic,
JL • it should stimulate
appetite, aid diges-
tion,* thus help build re-
sistance for the “time”
to come.
4% Started 3 days be-
mm fore “your time”, it
should help relieve
pain due to purely func-
tional periodic causes.
Try Cardui. If it helps, you’ll
be glad you did.

-Lhe test of a good pilot of kites is
in the way he sticks to the rules of
“Safety” . .. one of which is not to fly
kites near electric service lines. This not
only keeps kite-flying a safe sport, but also
helps prevent unnecessary interruptions in
electric power service.
In flying your kite, be the "guy with the
Medals” and fly it safely .,. always remember
to observe these safety rules:
1. Fly your kits in open spaces... free from
electric service lines.
2. Do not use metal or wire in your kite or kite
strings.
3. If your kite should get tangled in electric
wires, do not climb the pole or try to get ihe
kite loose with a pole or stick. Call your
electric service company!
