Round Up art show, beauty pageants plans well under way
Planning for the Ingleside Round
Up, May 13-15, continues on a full
scale
Artists from throughout the area
are invited to participate in the Round
Up art show which will include works
by adults, as well as junior high and
high school students.
According to Billie Fairbaim, coor-
dinator, there are five categories in
the show, oil, watercolor, acrylic,

Chemical free
graduation
party slated
Following the graduation exercises
on May 27 the Ingleside High School
class of ’88 will gather at the Garden
Center and swimming pool for a che-
mical-free party and celebration.
Music with a disc jockey, dancing,
swimming, movies, food and soft
drinks and prizes awarded throughout
the event will add to the night’s fun.
This is the third year of the event
organized and sponsored by the Un-
ited Methodist Church. Parents of the
seniors are co-chairing and planning
the event with Elizabeth Mann and
Cathy Turn bough as contact persons
for more information.
All members of the graduating class
and one guest each are invited to par-
ticipate with each senior asked to help
defray the cost by donating glO.
The party will close with breakfast
and a grand prize drawing of a televi-
sion to be given away at 3 a.m.
The show will be held at City Hall
and will be open throughout the
Round Up weekend.

beauty pageant
Beauty pageant plans are well
underway with organizers reporting a
large number of applications picked
up.
Stella Savage announced this week
that master of ceremonies for this
year’s pageant will be Jim Lago, the
popular disc jockey on the morning
Z95 radio program.
Mrs. Savage said she is very pleased
that Lago will be able to emcee the
pageant which is scheduled Friday,
May 13 at Ingleside High School oafe-
torium.
Applications are still being
accepted for the beauty pageant and
are available at three locations, the
Ingleside Chamber of Commerce
office, The Hair Cuttery, and in Aran-
sas Pass at Aransas Real Estate
There area number of categories for
the pageant, with overall ages being
toddlers to six in the boys division and
toddler to 19 in the girls divisions.
Entry fees are gl 5 for age categories
through 16 years and 020 for the 17 to
19 year category.-
