DAVID HOLCOMBE, who is *ix. had a birthday party to properly
celebrate his attaining another full year. His mother and father.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Holcombe gave him a complete gym set
which served as the larger portion ol entertainment for his parly
guests. The parly was done in the Easter theme with Ihe cake
in while and trimmed in pink roses. There were Easter bunnies
and chickens, too. Twenty three ot David’s friends came to his
party. Assisting Mr;. Holcombe was Mrs. W. T. Gooden.

Marchers on the “Easter Pa-
rade" fashton-|>ath in New York
proved yesterday that short coats
and small hats will be the style
favorites for spring.
In both fur and cloth models,
the hip lengths aeonnted for 90
per cent of coats. Red was the
foremost color m fabric, mink the
foremost fur.
Hals were either very large or
itiny, bul small shapes look prefer
iencc. They appeared in bonnet,
|cloche and helmet types, with sim-
; pie, unt rimmed sailors the fourth
: style choice.
And if the "Easter Parade" is a
criterion, hats will be either <1*
made entirely of dainty, button i
