for the Brownies and limited the
Bears to only one hU In the first

hits and bur runs In the fourth
and waa relieved by Bill David.
David lasted only one and one-
third Innings, giving up four bits
and three runs. Ukale Vavro
pitched the next one and two-
thirds Innings, allowing four hit*
and tr-o runs. Mike Blyzka, who
was forced to leave the game when
he waa hit by a pitched ball, gave
the Bears five runs lo only one-
third of an Inning.
DeFYeitaa finished on the mound
for Marshall. Leigh was charged
with the loss aa the Browns were
trailing 4-3 when he left the game.
Righthander Marvin Alexander
pitched the first five and two-
thirds Innings for Gladewater and
was credited with the win. Fred
Pollock waa forcea to leave after
one-third Inning and Vic Stryaka
finished for the Bears.
Marshall scored three runs on
four hits and an error in the fourth,
but Gladewater collected four runs
In tbe last of the fourth on three
