Little Dribbler Action Nears End
Teams from the midget and
major leagues continued
Little Dribbler basketball
action Friday and Monday
nights. Sponsoring the Little
Dribblers is the Little
Dribbler Association of
Kermit.
MIDGET LEAGUE
The U.C.L.A. squad,
sponsored by T-B Electronics
downed the Jackets Monday
night by a tally of 18-7. High
scorer for the J&L Supply
sponsored Jackets was Cody
Owen with threfc points. High
point man for the U.C.L.A.
team was Joe Lujan with six
points.
In the second match
Monday night, the Knicks
defeated the Celtics by a final
score of 18-12. Mike Parks
was the leading scorer for the
Knicks with 10 points. The
Celtics, sponsored by A-l
Construction, managed 12
points with six of them being
scored by Gino Valdez.
Friday, March 19, will be
the final night of action for
the Little Dribblers. After the
final game, trophies will be
awarded and the all-star team
for 1976 will be announced.
MAJOR LEAGUE
The Little Dribbler major
league played Friday night in
Junior High Gym.
In the first round of
competition, the Sonics
zoomed past the Jackets by a
final score of 32-21. High
point man were Howard
Taylor with 12 for the Sonics
and Barry Kimball will eight
for the Jackets.
The Celtics downed the
JuDaCo Red Devils in the
second game of the night
22-18. David Yett claimed 14
points for the Celtics and
high point man Mark
Flowers, totaled six points
for the Red Devils.
The last match resulted in a
win for U.C.L.A. over the
Bombers by a final tally of
30-24. Eugene Muniz was the
high scorer for U.C.L.A. with
