PUBLIC NOTICE
Erne&to Molina, Jr., Chief Appraiser for the Duval County
Appraisal District, with offices located on the first floor of
the Old Bank Building in San Diego, Texas in compliance
with Section 11.44(b), 22.2, 23.43 (f), and 23.54(g), of the
Texas Property Tax Code, notifies all persons owning prop-
erty within boundary bf Duval County and that portion of the
San Diego Independent School District that lies in Jim Wells
County, of the following: '
EXEMPTIONS
In order to receive an exemption on homesteads, cemeter-
ies, charitable organization, youth, spiritual, mental and
physical development association, religious organiza-
tions, schools, disabled veterans, historical sites, and
miscellaneous exemptions such as veterans organiza-
tions, a person must file an application with the office of the
Chief Appraiser of the Duval County Appraisal District
before May 1,1991. Applications are available at the office
of the Duval County Appraisal District.
RENDITIONS
The law requires that all taxable property be rendered by the
owner, manager, or person in control of said property. The
rendition must be filed with the Chief Appraiser of Duval
County Appraisal District before May 1, 1991. Forms for
rendition state and property reports are available at the
office of the Duval County Appraisal District.
DESIGNATION AND APPRAISAL
AGRICULTURE LAND
Any one having purchased or acquired land that may be
designated as agricultural use must apply before May 1, to
have his or her land appraised as agricultural land under
either Section 1-d and 1-d-1 Article 8 of the Texas
Constitution. Application forms are available at the office of
the Duval County Appraisal District, Old Bank Building, 1st
floor, San Diego, Texas.
