Wildcat Back Plays Crack
Game Throughout
Playing on n rain soaked grid-
iron the ACC Wildcats nnd the
St Marys Rattlers battled to a
Bcorelcss tie last Thursday night.
Rain fell during a .large portion
of the first half of the game and
the running and passing plays of
each team went for a little gain.
Only four first downs were regis-
tered during the game two by the
Wildcats and two by the Rattlers.
The Wildcats made their first
downs or passes one to Parker
from Wilbanks for eighteen yards
and the other from Baldwin to
Halfback Pierce Scott for eleven
yards. The Blattlers' yardage was
gained on faked punts by O'Con-
nor. The feature of the game was the
excellent punting by Baldwin
Wildcat back who played n bang-
up game both offensively nnd de-
fensively. Each team punted 28
times but Baldwin's kicks were
moro effectivo and kept the op-
position in a hole most of the
game. Baldwin amassed forty
yards for his punts and many
times the soggy ball traveled more
than fifty yards.

Today we shall delvo into the
past history of two of our worthy

LOUIS COCKRELL is the 200 lb.

lending his lusty voice to the gen
eral ballyhooing of tho mighty
wrestlers who show their war
in Abilene.
Entering from Cleburno High
where he was n four year letter
man In football and weight man
on tho track team Cockrell has
strengthened the line of the Wild
cat eleven much during his stay.
Years ago Loiis had ambitions
to manipulate tho controls of a '
street car. ride the rangey pony
of a cowboy or do the work of a
doctor. Now the uppermost de-
sire of his heart is to become a
government mnn. Maybe Cock-
rell will be n mall man in Tye
some of these days.
Now girls even though Cock
rell has n one and only if you

In playing on the Wildcat football

was continually operating on the
family clock to sco how it ran
but time chapges people's minds
so now he wishes to settle down to
the nrdous task of producing win-

As a perfect meal Baldwin do-
