New York City Money
Market Continues r1 Tight
The New York City money market 'eon-
tinued tight yesterday, and the situation is
not expected to improve until next week.
There was a large outflow of funds from
New  York banks last Thursday, as out-of-
town banks made heavy withdrawals. This
wiped out the excess reserves of the New i
York banks, which had totaled $155 million
on Wednesday.
The outflow to the rest of the country con-
tinued on Friday, with the result that the New
York banks accumulated a reserve deficiency
of $80 million.
Federal funds continued at 1%- bid, 1%%
offered.
