WHO are the “enterprisers”
who make up our free, competi-
tive enterprise system that has
made America great and which
will, without strangling controls,
keep it great?
They are your neighbors—the
doctor, the grocer, the farmer,
the small manufacturer.
One of them invests his sav-
ings in a stock of groceries. He
hires a clerk, who also delivers
orders.
He Takes the Risks
The two jobs he has created
cost the grocer the total invest-
ment that he has in his store
equipment, in groceries, in a
truck, and in credits advanced to
his customers.
The risks of not making a suc-
cess of it ai’e his to take.
If he succeeds, the jobs are
secure, and the families they sup-
port are secure.
If he fails, his savings are lost,
and two men look for work.
The grocer is an enterpriser.
His group in our economy—the
distributors of goods—supplies
about one-fourth of all the jobs
created in America.
Or, your neighbor is a farmer.
With the years, he increases his
investment, and with it, the^ wel-
fare of his family. He too is an
enterpriser. His group—agricul-
ture—supplies another fourth of
all the jobs created in our land.
Full-time employes in petrole-
um and natural gas production
in the United States this year
number approximately 210,000,
with average annual earnings of
$2,700.
SniM WARNINGS
Be Quick To Treat
Bronchitis
Chronic bronchitis may develop if
your cough, chest cold, or acute bron-
chitis is not treated and you cannot
afford to take a chance with any medi-
cine less potent than Creomulsion
which goes right to the seat of the
trouble to help loosen and expel germ
laden phlegm and aid nature to
soothe and heal raw, tender, inflamed
bronchial mucous membranes.
Creomulsion blends beechwood
creosote by special process with other
time tested medicines for coughs.
It contains no narcotics.
No matter how many medicines
you have tried, tell your druggist to
sell you a bottle of Creomulsion with
the understanding you must like the
way it quickly allays the cough, per-
mitting rest and sleep, or you are to
have your money back. (Adv.)

The Conversion of Lydia
Acts 16:14—She attended upon
the things which were spoken of
Paul. “Acts 16:15” and when she
was baptized, and her household,
she besought us, saying if Ye
have judged me to be . faithful
to the Lord, come into my house,
and abide there, and she con-
strained us. Notice two things
are mentioned here she attended
to, Namely Faith and Baptism.
It Was The Spoken Word of
God That Opened Lydia’s Heart
Notice the Divine Order in
Lydia’s conversion. Paul Spake
of Faith and Baptism Acts 16:13
and Acts 16:15. “Lydia heard us”
Acts 16:14. “Whose heart the
Lord opened” Acts 16:14. “She
attended upon the things that
were spoken o Paul” Acts 16:14.
She was Baptized, and her house-
hold Acts 16:15.” “She was Faith-
ful Acts 16:15.”
It was the Spoken Word of God
That Opened 3000 Hearts
on Pentecost
Acts 2:36 PETER SPEAKES—
“Therefore let all the house of
Israel know assuredly, that God
hath made that same Jesus,, whom
ye have crucified, both Lord, and
Christ.” Acts 2:37 THE 3000
HEAR—“Now when they heard
this”. THE LORD OPENS THEIR
HEARTS—“They were pricked in
their hearts.”—“And said unto
Peter and to the rest of the
Apostels, Men and brethren what
shall we do? Do you see the
Divine Order in the conversion
of the 3000? It takes the same
order of that of Lydia. It is none
other than the Order that Jesus
Christ the Son of God Gave. “He
that believeth and is Baptized
shall be saved. Mark 16 :'l6.”
What Church did Lydia become
a member of?
We notice that Luke did not
mention in Acts 16th Chapter the
Church she became a member of.
But in the Conversion of the 3000
we noticed we had a parallel to
that of Lydia’s. The Lord or the
word opening all of their hearts.
Those who received the word were
baptized Acts 2:41 and God Add-
ing the iBaptized to the Church
of Christ Acts 2:47. Now then
since Lydia’s conversion followed
the same Order of that of the
3000. We are forced to conclude
that she became a member of the
same Church, because she obeyed
the same form of Doctrine. I
Know that God would not Add
her to one Church and the 3000 to
another because Peter ,says God
is no respector of persons. Acts
10:34.

Maybe you saw that poll on who
has the easiest life—men or wom-
en? Of course, the men voted that
the women did, and the women
vice versa.
It would be the same in our town
—take any family. Thad Phibbs
envies his Missus spending the day
at home, with no hot office to at-
tend to. And Sue envies Thad his
luncheons with the boys f and his
evening glass of beer with friends
(while she cleans up the dishes in
the kitchen).
Of course, none of it goes very
deep. Thad knows way deep down
that the Missus has plenty of work
running a house; and Sue knows
Thad’s friendly glass of beer is well-
deserved relaxation after a dong
hard day’s work.

pretty even in the end.
