THE FAIR
MOM’S
|Yes, she’s back at her old job of home-making—
that 24-ljLOur-a-day job with no overtime pay.
Mom learned a lot about electric service during
the war.) She found that stitching up a cruiser and
stitching up a curtain are both done more easily
and quickly when electricity lends a hand.
And when home-making had to be sandwiched
in after war-plant hours, Mom learned that the
touch of a finger-tip brought her a dozen willing
servants for the cost of a candy bar.
Mom’s back in the kitchen. And electric service
—always ready, dependable and cheap—is there
with Her, making her tasks easier, her life more com-
fortable. Service like that just doesn’t happen. It
takes hard work and good business management.

and yours, too—-make it possible,

Joe Edd do you think you can
make a true scout?
The school hardly knows their

hall. - ! 1
We wonder what happened to
Lila Jean’s porchlight.
Why is it everyone gangs up
at the Cottle Hotel now? Could
it be Martha Ann?
Jody there’s a mirror in the
typing room if you get your car-
bon in backwards.
Why is it all the girls were
sore for about a week? Could it
be P. E.?
From the sounds of things, we
have a steady couple for life—
Look at Paw and Maw. (Woody
and Bubbles)
Patsy, you go in for the navy,
don’t you?
Notice to the students of PHS!
Flash says he wants all the kids
to write him. Ask Bubbles for
his address.
We still see Freida and Harold
are on the beam. And look at
Charlotte and Corky—And there’s
still Gus and Herby and lest we
forget, Jo and John.
It looks like a new couple has
been added—Leslie and Wanda
Moss.
It seems that Shirley and Bub-
bles are always getting their
“Bernies” mixed up.
Can anybody think of a good
name for Alan’s car? I mean one
that he can write on it in big-
letters?
Jay, what were you doing in
the N. K. drug Thursday evening?
Isn’t Peggy the lucky girl?
She was with her man all during
the week end!
Travis, we really think you
know how to pick the girls—
Irma Glyn. Same to Irma—Good
deal!
TEN BROTHERS ENROLL
Jersey City, N. J. —Ten broth-

HOMELESS JURIST
! ;
There is no law in all the Su-
preme Court’s books that can
help Supreme Court Justice Doug-
las out of the predicament he
faced last week: The county is
building a road through his house
and he had only a few days left
to find a new one for his wife
and two children.
To rumors that he might be
chosen to succeed Harold Ickes
as Interior Secretary, his only
comment was that he wondered
if Cabinet members had more
pull with real estate agents than
Justices._Pathfinder Magazine.
