condition at Humana Hospital
Tuesday after cutting her left
wrist with a razor blade police

tains Apartments according to
the reports.
A woman wes arrested after
confessing to forging signatures
on stolen checks police reports
stated. Eckerd Drugs at 1083 N.
Judge Ely Blvd. reported receiv-
ing one of the checks Monday
according to the reports.
An Abilene Municipal Airport
supervisor reported Wednesday
that a red and white Chevrolet
which had been parked in the
airport parking lot from Nov.
7-Dcc. 8 left without paying the
$99.51 parking fee police
reports stated. Police have a
suspect in the case the reports
stated.

"All the schools were pretty big
so we did all right for the size of our
school" Green said.
The teams judge 12 different
classes of animals with four animals
In a class he said. Each of the five
team members ranks them in order
from best to worst.
The judges also rank the bulb
and whichever team's total is the
closest to the judges' score wins that
part of the contest.
Awards also are given to individ-
uals who rank closest to the judges.
In the senior livestock judging
contest in which lambs and swine
are judged in the categories of breed
and market Oldficld scored highest
on the team.
"It was interesting and fun
because it was one of the biggest
competitions I've been to and I was
able to see a lot of different
animals" he said.
The second half of the contest
dining room will be a regular
WACU meetine that will include a
Voice Lab tour.
The tour will be conducted by
three local professionals with
backgrounds in health care and the
fine arts: Dr. Austin King who is
board certified in diseases of the

Forty-nine ACU students traveled
to Henrietta Okla. Saturday and
Sunday to participate in "Sunday
Night Live" an annual youth rally
sponsored by the Henrietta Church
ofChrist.
Members of Gamma Sigma Phi
men's social club; His Singers an
ACU singing group; and other stu-
dents went as pan of Ongocrs
Outreach a program started by Dr.
F.M. Churchill to involve ACU
students in ministry with local
churches.
More than 300 junior and senior
high school students and their spon-
sors representing 28 congregations
from northern Texas and southern
Oklahoma registered for the event
Churchill said.
Geoffrey Richter senior rang
science major from Tolar and
David Meredith sophomore biolo-
gy major from Ballinger planned
the event he said.
The students conducted a short
Erogram Saturday night for the
lenrictta church before meeting
their host families Churchill said.
He said all the students were in-
volved in the church's Sunday mor-
ning activities. The rally was con-
ducted Sunday afternoon he said.
The group wanted to show the
youth that church "doesn't have to
be serious all the time" said Mike
Shanks sophomore biology student
from Capitan N.M.
The youth needed to know they
could have a good time and serve
God as well he said.
Churchill said the group made 12
trips last semester and is planning
10 more trips this semester.
He said he asks different groups
of students to participate in each
trip.
Students interested in joining the
group should contact Churchill.

you have to be at your best all the
time and I think we can get it
together in the coming weeks"
Oldficld said.
Upcoming contests for the team
include the Ft. Worth Southwest
Livestock Expedition Feb. 2 and
the Houston Livestock Show and
Rodeo Feb. 2.

The ACU Forensics team traveled
to Louisiana State University at
Shreveport La. to compete in a
debate tournament consisting of 22
schools from five states.
The debate team of Lynctte
Sharp sophomore human com-
munication major from Arkansas
City Kan. and Scott Sellers
freshman business adminstration
major from Conroe placed second
in the tournament said Jeff Hobbs
assistant director of forensics.
"This is the best finish so far this
year" he said. "They really com-
peted well."
Sharp was pleased with her and
her partner's performance. "I feel
that we have been putting a lot into
debating but not getting a lot out"
Sharp said. "This was good for us
because we felt it was finally paying
ofT."
