Wildlife Courses
Draw Approval
At A.&M. College
AUSTIN, May — Considerable
interest recently has been shown
in wildlife and fisheries science
courses at Texas A & M College
bcause of emphasis on a com-
parative shortage in wildlife man-
agement personnel.
Dr. W. B. Davis, Chief of the
A &M Wildlife Management
Department, said inquires have
been received from scattered loc-
alities in Texas and two from
Colorado.
Two mothers wrote for infor-
mation, both explaining that they
had sons who were interested in
wildlife work as a career.
Gonzales Return From
Vacation In Mexico
Mrs. Frank Gonzales and daugh-
ter, Margaret Ann, have returned
from a vacation spent in Mexico.
The two traveled to Saint Louis
by train and took a bus there to
a stint of sightseeing before going
on to Tapatitlan for a visit with
relatives. From the latter city
they traveled with relatives to
many points of interest. The vac-
ation was of two weeks duration
and Mrs. Gonzales says that she
and her daughter enjoyed every
moment of the time, even that
given to riding along narrow
roads which wound around the
mountains.

It may seem a far cry from natural gas to brick and tile, but here
in the Gulf South where many plants manufacture these prod-
ucts, gas plays an important role. In the heating processes
required, natural gas provides clean, even-temperature heat...
producing better brick and tile... more economically.
To keep pace with the demands for their products, brick and
tile companies need a continuous supply of dependable fuel.
United Gas offers this great industry, and all other industrial
plants locating along its pipe lines, adequate, uninterrupted
supplies of fuel the year around... an important factor in
attracting industry to any community.

Lightfoots Have
Visitors Recently
Recent visitors in the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Pat W. Lightfoot
were her brother and his family
Mr. and Mrs. Woody Langford and
daughter, Margaret Rose, of Ara-
bia, who are spending a two-
month vacation period with
relatives in the United States.
The Langford family has been
living in Arabia for the past five
years and this is their first visit
home in four years. Mr. Langford
is employed by Aramco Oil Co.
Unfortunately, five weeks of the
two month vacation period for the
family was snipped off through a
traffic accident in Wyoming which
sent Mrs. Langford to the hospital
for that many weeks, with a neck
injury. She is still wearing a neck
support.
The visit in the Lightfoot home,
which might have extended over
a period of serveral days, had to
be cut to one of a matter of less
than six hours in order that the
Langford family might get to see
all other members of the family
before time ran out on them.
Mrs. Leila- Montgomery spent
the week-end in Corpus Christi as
a guest in the home of her son,
Madison Montgomery, and family.
