Blue Bonnets Change Hills
To Fairyland
The blue, bonneta of Texas art-
worthy of the greatest artist's brush.
They make a fairyland of the Tex
aa prairie and hills in the spring
time. They stretch away ns blue
as the southern sea as far as the
eye can reach, a perfect picture ol
beauty- -Hundreds of persona
drive miles to see them and feel
the trip well repaid when viewing
these wild Texas wild flowers
shaped so much like a woman's
pioneer bonnet.
On Sunday a trip was made to
Glen Rose. Besides the rugged
and natural beauty of this spot, the
blue bonnets were in full bloom
over the village and the surround-
countryside. Hundreds of motor-
ists were out enjoying the flowers
and taking pictures of them.
One could travel- far and near
and never see a more beautiful
picture. It it too bad that every
lover of beauty could not see the
native flowers of Texas in full
bloom. One hears of pilgrimages
being snade to different shrines.'
There should be a Blue Bonnet
Pilgrimage in the spring—it would
be an inspiration to thousands.

Eleanor Lasater of Mineral Wells
visited Mrs. Mary Dunbar and
d a u g h te r last week-end. On
Sunday they enjoyed -a trip to Glen
Rose. Mrs. C. V. Whatley ac-
companied them. The blue bon-
nets along the way were beautiful,
covering hills and dale like a vivid
carpet. It was interesting also in
Glen Rose to see the track of a
dinosaur left in a sandstone mil-
lions of years ago. The rock hold-
ing the huge track has been built
into a bandstand of petrified wood
which stands in the courthouse
yard. Many other dinosaur tracks
have been found near Glen Rose
also.
