The play "Out of the Ark Came
Noah" which was to have been pre-
sented during the Christmas holi-
days by high school pupils, will be
given Friday night (tonight) at the
school house, and the public is
urged to attend. The play is real
entertaining and an evening of
wholesome entertainment is
promised to all. A small admis-
sion charge will be made.
A new 1935 sedan was stolen
from the salesroom of the Hunter-
Logsdon Mo,tor Company at Jack-
sonville last week-end. Thieves
forced a window to enter the sales
room, then removed a dealer’s
license plate From another machine
and drove away in the stolen car.
Couger Logsdon, formerly of this
place is a partner in the Hunter-
Logsdon Motor Company.

The Gulf Filling Station at Met-
calf Gap, operated by J- L. Penson
was hi-jacked early Sunday morn-
ing.at 2 a. m. by four boys in a
Buick Coupe. After asking Owen
Penson,'brother of the operator, to
test their air, the boys covered him
with^ 45 and demanded his money.
Penson gave them the money in
the cash register amounting to ap-
proximately seven dollars. He was
then -ordered to stand upon the
running board and the car w&a
driven down the highway at
speed of sixty miles an hour- The
hi jackers tried to push Penson off
at this speed, but were unable to
do so, and after finally slowing
down to a speed of twenty miles
several miles up the highway, he
jumped off. and walked back to the
station, immediately notifying
