The newly remodeled Menton build-
ing is now ready for occupancy and
Mercedes has an office building that
can he surpassed only in size by any
town in the Valley. The recently
added second story has been sub-
divided into large, airy single and
double office room that should take
care of Mercedes’ professional men
for some time to come.
The rooms are most conveniently
arranged, those along the front part
being so constructed that a single
office contains both a reception and
a private consultation room. Those
along the corridors are built so that
they can be used either singly or
en suite, each has running water
while at the end of the building
are modem wash rooms. The steps
leading to the second floor are rub-
ber carpeted and the halls are car-
peted and well lighted, they are
wide enough to permit plenty of air
to circulate throughout.
Mr. Menton has also added a
number of improvements to bis un-
dertaking establishment. For the
first time in its history Mercedes has
a completely outfitted morgue. The
casket display is unequalled by any-
thing in the Valley, offering a com-
plete and effective display of every
kind and quality of casket carried in
the complete stock. This depart-
ment, according to men who know*,
js now second to none this side of
Sail Antonio.
